The 26th Annual Light the Night ‘For Whatcom Hospice with Love’ Gala & Auction will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at the Four Points by Sheraton in Bellingham, WA. 2026 promises to be another incredible event, thanks to you and our caring and generous community.

All net proceeds from this event (cash donation, ticket sales, auction + raffle ticket purchases, etc.) support the area of greatest need at Whatcom Hospice, such as:

Room and board assistance for the 12-bed Hospice House
Uncompensated care
Complimentary therapies including acupuncture and massage
Patient and family education
Patient and family assistance
Bereavement resources
Staff development
Volunteer training
Community education

IRA Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) for any gift that provides a personal benefit, including event tickets, sponsorships, tables, or auction items. However, "Raise the Paddle" donations are 100% tax-deductible and therefore fully eligible for DAF or QCD funding.
